Dear Dony,

I think that IJohn 2:4 (two verses above 2:6) is making things quite
clear from contextual point of view.
It reads: "He that saith, I know him, ..." and then that man's saying
is opposed to his doings.
Then again (2:6) John begins with "He that saith ...", and again the
man's words and his corresponding conduct is being discussed
Well the context is not always enough but I think you could hardly
extract from the orig. text (2:6) and the context: "He who says that
we should stay in him ...".

in 1 John 2:6. Actually, I am interested in the whole verse. I
searched the archives, but did not find any discussions on the verse.
