diagram Greek sentences, or to lay them out in logical
order so that I can establish the relationships of the
words in a Greek sentence.
<doug>
just a few comments first. i have heard that
diagramming hebrew is not quite as useful as doing the
same with greek or english.
earlier i thought about the option of purchasing a set
of diagrams from someone else:
http://www.kwic.com/~graske/index.html
but was advised (and have learned) that the value of
diagramming is in the actual exercise of doing it
yourself.
there are several books that i would recommend:
* Simplified treatment of the subject
David Alan Black, "Using New Testament Greek in
Ministry: A Practical Guide for Students and Pastors"
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0801010438/qid=1102003637/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/002-3788890-8162449?v=glance&s=books&n=507846
* Medium treatment of the subject
Gordon D. Fee, "New Testament Exegesis: A Handbook for
Students and Pastors"
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0664223168/qid=1102003611/sr=8-1/ref=pd_csp_1/002-3788890-8162449?v=glance&s=books&n=507846
* More thorough treatment of the subject (uses
Colossians as an example)
John D. Grassmick, "Principles and Practice of Greek
Exegesis"
