I am not confident in Crossan's objectivity, to be frank. While he is a
resourceful scholar and has a fertile imagination, in my opinion he is neither
careful nor thorough. He is a religious rationalist who strikes me as too
reactionary and as being too affected by what I see as a revisionist tendency.
