Re: DIA TO KAKWSQAI
I'm curious about this usage of DIA. My Homeric dictionary says that DIA
with the accusative can mean "during," in addition to the other usages.
If this holds true for LXX Greek, then Richards second option "throughout
his ordeal"(during his affliction, while he was being ill-treated) would
be better Did DIA with the accusative over the years lose this concept?
Thanks.

My question is about the phrase DIA TO KEKAKWSQAI. Does it mean:
 1) "because he was abused" or "because of what he suffered"
 2) "throughout his ordeal"
