Having just scanned through most of the instances of SOI in the LXX followed
by a nominative noun:
I can find plenty of examples where the dative singular of SU (SOI) is a
translation of the genitive by circumlocution (LeKa) and is clearly
functioning possessively (not referentially).
However, I didn't spot any examples where either EINAI or GINESQAI were not
present or implied.
I concede. It does indeed appear that the dative singular 2nd p. personal
pronoun is not used adjectivally in a noun phrase constituting the subject
of a clause.
Thanks, Carl.
