Patrick, it may be that you wrote this response before seeing my own
response of this morning to the same question from the original poster
(Wed, 18 Feb 2004 08:09:15 -0500), suggesting some specific alternatives to
Machen (and Mounce) and pointing to several excellent on-line resources
both for on-line study of Greek and for hard-copy textbooks.
