Crosby and Schaeffer is what I learned on in Greek back in College. I
didn't have any Latin, but still fell in love with the text. I had my
first copy "rebound" too... with a big strip of duct tape! I've since
added a cleaner copy to the shelf which I found in a used bookstore
with actual picture plates. I think Carl is correct, that I keep C&S
around for sentimental reasons... it was THE option then. And for the
old school of learn the paradigms, read actual Greek to reinforce, it
was quite good. It is with C&S that I fell in love with the nuances of
Greek... the readings in Xenophon and other Greek verse... ahhhhh
Cheers,
Joe
