Thedore,

I have been "Palmless" for about 6 months. Prior to that I used PPs for 5 or so years (P1000, Vx, M505, M515). I have not purchased a new one and have begun to miss it dearly. The new Tungstens are sweet. I would buy the most I could afford. I would recommend against the Zyre because I consider the ability to use a memory card of utmost importance. I used two cards. A 128m card for everyday working and a 32m card for backup.

Software.
I used the bible reader from OLIVETREE.COM and loved it. I had the NASB, GreekNT, and Spanish bible. I used the Gramcord version of the GNT with parsing and saved my back - I hate carrying a briefcase full of books ; { ).

The last time I checked the PC based software (BW, LOGOS, etc.) did not have PDA versions. It is relatively easy to take your results, copy, paste to Word, and then convert to a PDA document.

I did occasionally used my scanner to move portions of a text into electronic format. And there are several websites were you can download older books that are in public domain.

I am taking the plunge to a Pocket PC in the next two weeks so I cannot answer to the software availability... except olivetree stuff works on both.

Feel free to contact me off list and I can tell you more how I used my PDA for school, ministry, work, etc

Greetings all...
I'm thinking about purchasing a Palm Pilot, and I know many of you are
up to date on these gadgets. Do you have any suggestions as to the type
and model I should consider and/or avoid? Can you download programs
such as BibleWorks 6 on them? Many thanks.

Ted
