No.  I hardly think so.  It's just the ending which is attached which makes 
it possible to even give it a rather remote appearance that this might be the 
case.  In regard to another word for example we do have a combination of two 
elements SUN + LOGEW into SULLOGH, but the ending is still -H which is also NOT 
derived from GH.  Smyth gives the rule for feminine nouns of the first 
declension (A-stems) that when alpha is preceded by a consonant which is not R the A 
is changed to H -- §217b.
