Arie,

I'm arguing that the "limited number of topics Paul had been able to
transmit during the short period he was working in Thessalonica" was already
referred to with the plural TAS PARADOSEIS in 2:15 of which THN PARADOSIN in
3:6 is one. I agree that these persons had not received separate
traditions, but Paul is emphasizing that they *had* (along with everyone
else) received this one.

In my opinion PARADOSIS must be here a limited number of topics Paul had
been able to transmit during the short period he was working in Thessalonica
(Acts 17: 1 ff.): the basic teachings and patterns of conduct of
christianity. PAR' hHMWN refers probably to the same persons as hHMEIS in 2:
13, where Paul, Silvanus and Timotheus (cf. 1: 1) are meant. The plural of
PARELABOSAN refers to the same group as APO PANTOS ADELFOU. I do not think
that those persons had received other "traditions" from Paul than the
believers who were not acting ATAKTWS.
