Hi,
Thank you for the following message to the bgreek list. Since nobody seems to be
interested in this issue, let me send my comments to you via email.
--------------------------------------
Moon,
hHN D'AN is the relative here meaning "whatever."
"Whatever town or village you enter, inquire . . ."
Your alternate
POLIN H KWMHN EIS hHN D'AN EISELQHTE
=> [MOON]
I would translate it as:
City or town into WHICH you EVER enter, ...
AN is translated into "EVER".
My question about the original
EIS hHN D'AN POLIN H KWMIN EISELQHTE
was: why is the antecedent POLIN H KWMIN placed AFTER the relative pronoun hHN ?
Sincerely
