This question may not be directly related to the main theme of this list
but I am doing a study of the book of Romans and would like to do a
verse by verse analysis of the entire book and list each verse and the
total number of manuscripts that they appear in. Is this easily
available somewhere and if not where do I begin to look to compile this
information. I am also looking at listing each of the variants that
occur. Any help with information would be very much appreciated. Thank
you all for putting up with newbees like myself.

Mario,

There is another e-list that specializes in Text Criticism that you may be
interested in. You can read about it and see the archives here:

http://rosetta.reltech.org/TC/tc-list.html

They also have a collection of text critical works on line in their "e-bind"
directory. This includes the important works by Von Soden and Tischendorf.
You can consult these here:

For a quick on volume reference of most of the material you need, Swansons
collation of Romans should be the ticket. He publishes all of the variants
in horizontal lines for easy reference. I've not used his work on the
letters, but I found his Gospel work made synoptic studies much easier. I
really love the format.

Best wishes in your studies.
