I've only used the bundle-ware version of OmniPage and so can't speak
from experience with the current Pro version, but the publisher's
data sheet for it specifically claims:
"Recognize Multiple Languages
OmniPage Pro 14 recognizes 119 different
languages and even recognizes multiple
languages on the same page!"
Greek is one of the languages listed, but whether it extends to the
polytonic variety or not isn't clear.

I acquired Omnipage Pro 14 specifically because it claimed the ability to
scan mixed language documents using Latin characters and polytonic Greek
characters. I got a good deal on the program and figured I could afford to lose my
investment if the program did not work. So far I have not been able to
wrestle the program to the ground. :-) My initial attempts on plain English,
polytonic Greek, and mixed character sets have not been any better than what Ken
Penner reported in another email in this thread.
If Ross Purdy (or anyone else) can figure out how to get OmniPage Pro 14 to
accomplish the task without major manual editing (some will always be
required), I would be willing to volunteer my scanner and effort to this task.
However, I don't have the time or energy at the moment to try to solve OCR
software problems.
