Zerwick is one handy-dandy book to stick in your
backpack along with your GNT. The old
Rogers-Reinecker(sp?) was not as good as Zerwick for
my purposes, and the new one (Rogers & Rogers) is TOO
BIG!
I have a Zerwick at work and one at home. It's a bit
expensive, and the cover/binding is pretty low-grade,
unfortunately (it's vinyl; it tears; ande eventually,
if you use it much, the sewn binding will fall apart),
but "Max & Mary" (as it's called) is a great tool to
have. Yes, you'll want his BIBLICAL GREEK BY EXAMPLES
to get the most out of the handbook, but that's a good
book, too. Don't expect to use either of them well
until you've had at least 1 year of Greek, though.
Mounce will take you up to all words that occur 50x or
more, and Zerwick gives helps for all words that occur
less than 60x, so they're a good match. His BIBLICAL
GREEK BY EXAMPLES is too advanced to read if you
haven't yet finished Mounce.
