[B-Greek] request for advice

Hello B-Greekers,
I have a request that is not strictly on-topic for B-Greek, but I think
similar requests have been posted here in the past. Off-list responses are
probably in order.
I'm trying to point myself in the direction of a PhD in NT, coming from a
background almost totally devoid of humanities classes. BS in Computer
Engineering, MS in Computer Science, twelve years working as a software
engineer, eight years teaching Computer Science at a community college. Last
summer I worked through a first-year classical Greek textbook on my own, and
this year I have been taking Intermediate Greek and some philosophy courses
at a university. These courses, plus some Spanish, German, and Linguistics
from my first year in college (before changing my major to engineering), are
the only things on my transcripts other than math, science, and engineering.
What else would you recommend I do in preparation for applying to an MA or
MTS program with an NT concentration? I realize it somewhat depends on the
school, but generally speaking, what do you think might be most helpful?
Thank you
Kathleen Creager
