While studying Hebrews, I came across KRITIKOS (in
4:12) where it is said to be able to function as:
Adjective: able to judge
Noun: discerner
Verb: to judge
Earlier in 3:14 I was informed that METOCOS could also
be understood as a participle (per BAGD) and is so
translated "come to share" by the NIV.
My question really is not about any passage but the
flexibility that Greek words can exhibit. What is
going on with the lexical or morpho- nature of
KRITIKOS that allows it to function as so many parts
of speech?
