Rod and others:

My copy of A READER'S GREEK NEW TESTAMENT arrived today from http://www.overstock.com, and it indeed is the same "Italian Duo-Tone(TM)" leatherette cover I saw in the store. Again, $17.49 + $1.40 s/h. Ordered 4/26/04 10:45 am CDT, arrived at my house in the country via USPS 5/1/04 1:00 pm CDT. Just in time for me to try it out while I'm on a business trip this week.

My objections to the font and paper color aren't as great as my initial reaction was, though a smaller size and a better way of arranging the footnotes would still likely be my comments to Zondervan (since they're reading this forum!) - but a smaller page size could make the footnotes/vocabulary too difficult to read. The italic font in some ways "flows" with the way one's eyes go (i.e., left to right), and maybe subconsciously that makes it easier to read, but I'm not sure I will like it as well as NA's straight font. However, if the Greek vocabulary entries in the footnotes were in straight (and bold?) type, and the definitions in italic, it would likely make it easier to search among the 50-words-per-page of definitions!

> Will do! (Also, the s/h from overstock on 2 items is $2.80, not $2.50.)
>
> However, Zondervan makes only ONE version of this book, according to their Web site.
> It lists for $29.99, the same as the Overstock.com list price. It's actually neither
> leather, nor paperback, so both Amazon and Overstock are somewhat incorrect. It's
> something called "Italian Duo-Tone(tm)" -- it's the same material they cover their two-
> tone NIV personal size Bibles in. It appears to be or feels like a synthetic version of a
> suede/oiled-leather cover, and feels as durable as bonded leather. I will be most
> surprised if I receive something in actual PAPERback.

>> Eric,
>>
>> Overstock.com advertises their copy of "A Readers Greek New Testament" as
>> paperback. Amazon.com advertises "A Readers Greek New Testament" with
>> leather binding for $20.39. How about letting us know what cover you get
>> with yours.
>>
>> Thanks,
