In his article "The Semantics and Exegetical Significance of the of the
Object-Complement Construction in the New Testament," Daniel Wallace cites
2Th 2:4 as an occurrence of an object-complement construction (p.108, n.76).
Is he suggesting that hEAUTON is the object of the construction and the hOTI
clause is functioning as the complement? Verse 4b reads hWSTE AUTON EIS TON
NAON TOU QEOU KAQISAI APODEIKNUNTA hEAUTON hOTI ESTIN QEOS.
