It depends on what you mean by a long omega sound.  Some pronounce long 
omega the American way, as "o" in road or tone.  But I think the 
ancient Greek way of pronouncing a long "o" sound is by lengthening the 
short "o" sound.  So, Mounce may actually be more "correct" in his 
pronunciation of hWRA in the audio files that come with his BBGG, 
although it would probably be inconsistent with his overall system 
(since he pronounces omega usually as "o" in tone).  By the way, I 
wouldn't recommend Mounce as a good model for learning pronunciation.  
He may be an excellent grammarian, morphologist, syntaxiologist or 
whatever, and I've listened to his CD's and lectures over and over, but 
I cannot stand listening to him read from the Greek New Testament for 
two minutes! ;-)
