Greetings all,
I have question, again no doubt of a very basic nature.
In following this discussion I notice that GLEUKOS begins with an upper case
Gamma, in my copy of the GNT.
In trying to wade through elementary Greek grammar I have read that words
are only capitalised if proper nouns, beginning a new paragraph or beginning
direct speech.
Since the only condition applicable would seem to that of a proper noun, can
that GLEUKOS being referred to here be understood to be some sort of brand
name drink, which happens to have a reasonably high alcohol content (sort of
the Jack Daniels of Jerusalem)?
Or, what other conditions allow for capitalisation?
