G'day Craig
BAGD is from about 1979.
BDAG is 2002? It is based on newer research, is at times a tad politically
correct, I think, but on the other hand, it is also more complete in the
citations.
But its biggest and best feature is that it is so much easier to read. The
typesetting is worth the high price, even if the text had been unchanged.
But, if you are investing in a languages program such as BibleWorks, you may
be able to get the text electronically, which is even more user friendly,
and cheaper, as long as you wanted the rest of what you get in your program.

I have 2nd edition BAGD. Is there much difference between 2nd and 3rd
edition? I notice at a local Christian bookstore here 3rd edition is
AU$199.95 and 2nd edition is AU$124.00 (and Dan Starcevich has 2nd for
US$10!!!).
Anyhow, is it worth going from 2nd to 3rd, or just wait for 4th ;-)
