Wieland, you have done us all a great service in making this available;
having looked carefully over your scan(s) of the table of contents, I am
all the more eager to have the whole book in my hands to work carefully
through at leisure. I don't think it will be available in the U.S. for
several weeks and I may have to try to get it by Interlibrary Loan, which
is all the more difficult for me where I now live in retirement in rural
North Carolina mountains. Now I wonder if I might ask one further favor of
you--only if you can afford the time and are willing to do it, of course:
Could you scan and make available to me the pages from Chapter 4, section
III on the Verb, 151-154? Of course what I am most deeply concerned with is
what he has to say about Middle and Passive, but that is intimately bound
up with how one views "transitive and intransitive" and "causative." If you
could provide me with a scan of these pages, I would be most grateful to
you. Should you feel that's too much of a burden, I shall certainly
understand. You deserve the gratitude of all of us for your efforts toward
elucidating and making available to the general public detailed information
along with your judicious comments about the MSS of the NT, and also for
your initiative in establishing a mailing list to replace the evidently
defunct TC List.

Best regards, cwc
