[B-Greek] New Testament on Tape in Modern Greek

I listened briefly to the MP3 of I John at
greeklatinaudio.com. The speaker seems to read at a
faster rate than I recall from Zodhiates (my tapes are
at home). I know that Zodhiates usually starts each
book slowly, and then gradually increases his speed,
but I don't think he usually reaches the speed of
greeklatinaudio.com. Zodhiates also has a distinctive
accent, being a native Greek speaker. The tapes are
clear, though, and good audio quality.

For a novice, I think following Zodhiates without the
text in front of you would be easier than trying to
follow greeklatinaudio.com without a book; both would
work much better with the text in front of you, unless
you're fluent in NT Greek and read at the speed of a
native, which I personally cannot do. Also, Zodhiates
is now complete (he says he uses NA-26, but I
occasionally see/hear differences, as if he's possibly
reading NA-25 or NA-20 variants for a few verses),
whereas greeklatinaudio.com doesn't appear to have all
the NT books in MP3 yet.

The problem, as you know, with listening to a MG
pronunciation is that many vowels and diphthongs have
the same "ee" sound, and there is no rough breathing.
It may work well for "authenticity" or for what you
hear at a Greek Orthodox church, but it can present
problems for learning the text aurally.

anyone offer comments on the quality of this relative
to
greeklatinaudio.com's version? I've been pretty happy
with that, and
it's free.
