Lincoln:

Certain noun, adjectives and adverbs require a
Genitive complement to complete the idea of the noun.

Wallace talks about this on page 135 of his grammar
Greek Grammar Beyond the Basics

 
3. Genitive After Certain Nouns


a. Definition

A genitive substantive may rarely occur after certain
nouns whose lexical nature requires a genitive. The
genitive in such instances will not fit into one of
the “standard” genitive categories.
