KAI GAR EGW ANQRWPOS EIMI hUPO EXOUSIAN, EXWN UP'
EMAUTON STRATIWTAS...
It seems the idea here is that the centurion is saying
that he is in a position of authority, KAI, "also," as
if he compares himself to Jesus. So why hUPO EXOUSIAN?
Why is he saying he is "under authority"? The idea
seems to be that he is a man "with authority, having
UNDER him soldiers..."
If not, then what sense does KAI make here? How does
he think of Jesus as ALSO "under" authority?
