I also would urge you to follow the format Mounce uses. I'm currently
teaching with Mounce for the second time, and I find the reasoning behind
his format to be sound.
Verbs are more complex than nouns (I just haven't told my students that yet,
they've been pulling their hair out over 3rd declension, etc., but it's
true.) For that reason, IMHO, it makes sense to cover the other parts of
speech pretty exhaustively before getting into verbs.
