There is the classic work of J.D. Denniston, _The Greek Particles_ (2nd
ed., Oxford UP, 1954; Denniston's extensive discussion of GAR (including
combinations ALLA GAR, KAI GAR, OUDE GAR, KAI GAR OUN, and KAI GAR TOI) is
on pp. 56-114. While this discussion focuses chiefly on classical Attic
usage, it is not irrelevant to Koine usage. I don't know whether there's
any fuller treatment of GAR in Koine than is to be found in BDAG and Louw &
Nida.
