As I received my own message back as simply a header , I'll try again.

John 7:53
KAI EPOREUQHSAN EKASTOS EIS TON OIKON AUTOU

How should EKASTOS be taken here?
a) Is it the subject of the plural noun EPOREUQHSAN, so that the whole
consturction is one /ad sensum/?
b) Is EKASTOS standing in apposition to an implied plural subject, along
the lines of KAI EPOREUQHSAN AUTOI, EKASTOS ... ?

Regards,
Dirk Jongkind
