[B-Greek] Review of vocab

I have the Story flashcards (as Eric Weiss has suggested). I also use
the Biblical Greek Vocabulary Cards from Visual Education which are cheaper
and easier to use than Story's. Also, flash cards come with the Greek Tutor
(by Parsons) program. And finally a free download (GreekMem) for your
computer is available. Remember that flashcards only give the lexical form
of the word and the word looks quite different in its inflected forms;
especially aorist.
On top of a dozen or so "instructional" Greek books and an extensive
library of Logos books, I have and use these aids frequently. I also
download sections of Scripture onto paper and sit at the kitchen table and
attempt to translate (somewhat like Carl has suggested).
I am also beginning second year Koine Greek at a local Bible college, so
I have some structured Greek. However, classroom activities by their nature
cannot cover everything nor can they begin to give one the repetition
needed.
I have a genuine passion for the New Testament and the Jesus which it
proclaims and I long to understand this document in its original form. I'm
willing to put forth the effort needed, but progress is slow, and it is a
disappointment that after thousands of dollars have been spent and
innumerable hours used that I'm no further along than I am. The lack of
progress somewhat dulls the passion.
I don't see how one can have a large vocabulary or be proficient at
Greek until they have study partners or some way of engaging other human
beings equally interested in using Koine Greek. Our 1st qtr of 1st year
Greek started with 17 students and we ended the 1st year with only 2!
