I found the slating of Porter really refreshing. Finally someone was man enough to do this. It was my gut feeling from the beginning that it was Porter who "is traveling down a road that leads to nowhere."
Judging also from what Porter has written elsewhere recently (e.g. in matters textual criticism) I cannot take him serious anymore.
This does not mean that one has to buy everything Caragounis has to say, but his interpretations of difficult passages are interesting and worth to read.
Best wishes
