I like to use more than one book.

"Hey Andrew Teach me some Greek", Machen, and the "Mastering New Testament
Greek" software, all start off with a similar format and mostly overlap, so I
find that they complement each other nicely.

Amazon sells a couple workbooks to supplement Machen, that I'm thinking of
ordering. I bought my Machen book from Canada. I don't know if "Still Waters
Revival Books" is still selling photocopies, but that's where I got mine for
about $5.00 I think. What I like about Machen is the abundance of translation
exercises.

I like the Hey Andrew series _http://www.greeknstuff.com/andrew.html_
(http://www.greeknstuff.com/andrew.html) for handwriting practice and level 4 has a
nice intro on accents meant to teach even a 4th grader to use them.

The software is excellent for pronunciation and spelling and grammar drill.
I really need to HEAR the words as I study accents, to get it drilled in. I
also clap out all my new vocabulary, clapping louder on the accented syllable,
so I can feel the rhythm of the word.

The Dobson book teaches things in a very different order than the other 3
curriculums, but I use it as a Dick and Jane type reading book, rather than a
textbook. I just read it over and over and now that my new copy has accents and
an audio CD, all the better.

I have other books too, that I sit down and study for awhile sometimes.
Mounce, "Teach Yourself New Testament Greek", some Attic books, and this online
course _http://viking.coe.uh.edu/grnl1/grnl1.syl.htm_
(http://viking.coe.uh.edu/grnl1/grnl1.syl.htm) study group for the site
_http://groups.yahoo.com/group/anamathetes/_ (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/anamathetes/)

Right now I'm really focusing on accents, handwriting and pronunciation,
before I rehit the grammar with a vengeance.

I like these free downloadable audios for the car and kitchen while cooking

I like these guidelines for measuring language proficiency. Since I'm not
just using one curriculum this helps me to set goals for myself.

Walmart has leather, walletlike, index card holders that hold 20 index
cards. I try to keep it with me at all times and full of some info that I need to
work on so I never waste time in lines. I read a couple cheap paperbacks on
learning languages in general and picked up a few flash cards ideas.
