I'll put in my usual plug for Story and Story's GREEK TO ME. Read some of my comments here:

Dobson has now added accents and a CD that covers all the chapters, not just the first 11 or
14 or so, but his inductive approach was not as successful with my students as GTM was. I
learned with Mounce, and think it's good, but in less time and with the same amount of work,
GTM will teach students double the vocabulary (which means that at the end of the course,
they can actually pick up a Greek NT and read large parts of it without constant reference to
the lexicon), and all the same grammar. Mounce's forte and distinction, IMO, is his emphasis
on morphology. I like Black for its compactness and introduction of linguistic terms - it's a
good companion grammar to clarify or expand on explanations that may not be as good or
extensive as you find in your primary grammar (if Black is not your primary grammar).
My current caveat/quibble with these is that they all teach Erasmian pronunciation, and I'd love
to make the shift to Randall Buth's reconstructed Koinê, but many of the mnemonic helps in
GTM depend on Erasmian, and students who go on to seminary will be confronted with
Erasmian, unless their professors are Greek (modern Greek pronunciation is closer to
Buth's/Koinê than to Erasmian). My "solution" in my upcoming class is to teach and use
BOTH and give the students the option, recommending that if they want to use a Koinê
pronunciation, they put Erasmian out of their mind from the beginning even if it means that
some of the mnemonics in GTM won't work as well.[/soapbox]
And ... hopefully I'll find time to learn some Ancient Greek, a necessity I've put off for far too
long.
