A couple of other resources:
The SWORD project modules are usable with software under Windows,
Linux, Mac, and a few handhelds:
Windows: http://www.crosswire.org/sword/software/biblecs/index.jsp
Mac : http://www.macsword.com/
Linux : http://www.bibletime.info/
http://gnomesword.sourceforge.net/
Zaurus/
iPaq : http://www.crosswire.org/qpsword
I tried out BibleTime a couple of years ago, and it was still
kind of rough. The nature of Open Source software, though, is
one of constant, incremental improvement... you may want to
give the appropriate package a try and see if it meets your
needs.
I find Power Bible (http://www.powerbible.com/) useful on my
laptop for classes - it's got a pretty good selection of public
domain translations, commentaries, etc. plus a couple of "pay
to unlock" modern translations. It includes a GNT (Stephanus,
IIRC) and can display two versions with interleaved passages.
No accent marks included with the GNT, though, which is an
annoyance. The interface is polished enough that the program
is usable for most everyday tasks (verse lookup, word search,
Strong's number searches, etc.) and IMHO, the price is right -
less than $20, not a lot to pay for a pretty stable program
and a generally useful collection of reference materials.
