[B-Greek] BAGD versus BAG

Ladies and Gentlemen:
In the recent discussion on lexicons/tools etc, the supremacy of BAGD (and
its $125 price tag!) was again emphasized.

About a year ago, as a total greek novice, I spotted what turned out to be a
BAG in a secondhand bookstore for $12.95. Having only the vaguest idea of
what I was doing, I bought it hoping it was a mis-priced BAGD but alas, it
is an earlier edition and is dated by its original owner 1962.

Nevertheless, am I correct in feeling fairly contented that this edition
will keep me happy for quite a few years? (time to save up?!!) For
cash-strapped novices, would the more-seasoned greekers out there recommend
an earlier edition of BAGD (as opposed to say, buying another lexicon new)?

I presume at my current level of understanding, BAGD or BAG isn't going to
make a huge difference but I would be interested to hear of the major
differences between the two editions...

Thank you all for your patience with these novice questions...

Steve
