 Briefly, as I said, most Greek scholars, including classicists, do
not accept Porter's aspect-only theory. I don't remember Silva
accepting the theory, I don't know where Carson stands. You may need
to differentiate 'take seriously' and 'accept'. Porter is an excellent
scholar and one learns much from him. ALLA MAQHTAIS OU SUNISTANW H
UPOTIQEMAI TO AUTOU SUSTHMA TWN RHMATWN. I can't recommend his view on
tense in Greek verbs.

On Caragounis' there was a helpful review (critical) forwarded to this
list a few months ago by Silva. The book should be in a school library
but it would not be justified for individual purchase unless someone
had a well-funded historical interest in Greek grammarians.
