Excuse me for jumping in midstream-I just read a piece of the thread
and see you looking for a contact point for "see".
You may enjoy knowing that Gen 22 1-14 has an extended wordplay of
"seeing", though not visible in English (an interesting irony,
'seeing' is there but you can't see it).
In verse 22:4 the Hebrew text uses a special construction to make
'lifting up his eyes' a main event of the story. Then at the climax
Avraham says,
"The Lord will see" (Y"H yireh)
and the narrator says "in the Lord's Mt. it will be seen" (behar
ha-Y"h yeraeh).
The LXX, though, puts this in the past:
KYRIOS EIDEN "the L"d saw"
and EN TW OREI KYRIOS WFQH "in the Mt, the L"d appeared"
(sic, not same vocalization of "in mountain of" as Heb MT).
Hope this helps.
