Although I do not see why you consider these phrases to be wooden, it seems to me that the literal meaning of "hagia ton hagion" could be interpretted as something like "the innermost holy chambers of the tabernacle" and that "aiwnos ton aiwnon" must similary be understood as the final ages out of the aggregate of ages. What do you think?
