I think it is a difference to say: 
"Your house is left back for you"
= you can get the house for you = I let you take the house 
= I don't take everything, but let you the house. 

or

"Your house is left back empty"
= I leave you the house empty
= I leave the house empty = I go
(I think this is meant by ethic dative?)
