Hello,
I'm not the most active member on this list obviously, but I was
curious if anyone has any helpful information, links, etc. for using
BDAG (A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament and Other Early
Christian Literature Third Edition). I used it a few times a few
years ago (a demo with BibleWorks 5) but now I have been using it at
the library and also have it on my computer now as well.
To my understanding BDAG has been so helpful because it was
produced after most of the papyri was found/unearthed. Of course,
there are other reasons, but as I'm sure several of you know, thanks
to the papyri the myth that Koine was some kind of "unique" or "Holy
Ghost" language was finally silenced.
So basically I have two questions,
-Are the sources quoted in BDAG easily attainable at large libraries
or even online?
-In what ways can it be most helpful to a student still in college-level Greek?
Thanks for your time!
in Christ,
Jonathan Ferguson
slowing working through college!
