I should also have said that the best solution to the recurrent problems
with legacy fonts such as SPIonic is to convert the Greek in one's documents
to Unicode.
Ralph Hancock's Antioch is one tool that can convert legacy Greek encodings
to Unicode in Word documents:
www.users.dircon.co.uk/~hancock/antioch.htm
I wrote a Word macro to do the same thing, but I lost it when I upgraded.
I do have a converter web page at
http://s91279732.onlinehome.us/convert.htm
But this converts all the text pasted into the box, whether it's Greek or
not.

Hope this helps
Ken
