[B-Greek] Another silly question about the gospel that bears Mark's name

In the Textus Receptus the first word of the second verse of the first
chapter of Mark is hWS . In the UBS version I have the word is KAQWS. They are
both translated as 'as.'

I seem to remember reading or someone telling me that KAQWS was lot more
intense in its meaning. They both were to use to draw a comparison but KAQWS was
a much stronger comparison almost to the point of identification with.

Is any of that true or do just mean the same thing?
