George has quite rightly noted that this thread is now threatening to
cross over the boundaries of appropriate list-discussion. The
classification of the book of Revelation as being "prophetic" or
"apocalyptic" in genre is, as is already clear, a matter of deeply-
held and conflicting convictions, convictions that would seem to be
grounded in hermeneutical assumptions. Please let's not go further
down this track or else this thread will be terminated.
