Hebrews 11:1 "..faith is the substance(hupostasis) of things hoped for..."
(KJV)
Really in this translation the word substance is dificult to understand ,
perhaps assurance is better.
About Origen , I don´t have the Greek text of this book , However , Origen
said in Commentary on John Book II,6 :
"... We consider, therefore, that there are three hypostases, the Father
and the Son and the Holy Spirit; and at the same thee we believe nothing to
be uncreated but the Father. " (Roberts-Donaldson)
It is clear that the Paul´s hupostasis is not the same with Origen. However
i think in this passage ,
the word hupostasis correspond to substances ,i.e "..three substances , the
Father and the Son , and the Holy Spirit ...".
Do you agree with me??.
Other questions is about the translators Roberts-Donaldson , they didn´t
translate "hupostasis" , perhaps they couldn´t translate the real meaning in
english.
 Best Regards
