I would just note briefly that the response by Caragounis to Silva's
review which I read in July has been heavily edited and expanded
considerably in the version posted at the site indicated by Wieland.
The version that I read in July really could not have been quoted. I
would reiterate the sentiment ending my note of August 3: "I hope
that the reviews and responses to come will generate at least as much
light as they will heat. We shall see."
