I think generally that etymological studies are not worth engaging in,
but this was strange enough to be interesting even though it probably is
outside the list guidelines. I therefore checked your presentation and
discovered that you did indeed properly represent the content of the
entry. If you consider the entry as a whole, it should be obvious that
the value of such an etymological derivation approaches 0 (zero). How
can a word be said to be of "uncertain derivation" and yet have a very
specific meaining?
