It would seem to me that it only makes sense to read sections which are
complete in themselves rather than functioning of a mathematical formula
of so many characters per day.  I would highly recommend the use of the
lectionary readings.  If one desires, he could add to the NT readings
those of the OT but read them in the LXX.  This sequence covers the
entire Bible in a three year period.  Why reinvent the wheel?
