I am a beginning student and this is my first post. Thank you to the individual who mentioned the Textkit site and the BBG study group. I will be making as much use of it as possible.

My delima is this:

In reading Gen. 4:7 I came across a word for which I can not find a definiton in Greek. As a matter of fact, I can't find the word at all. The word is DIELHS. ( I hope I followed the FAQ page correctly in transliterating. I welcome correction! There is an iota subscript under the eta, but I wasn't sure how to transliterate that or whether it was necessary.)

The translation from the LXX reads "divided," while the NAS I use translates it "do well."

Looking in my Kittel, I couldn't find the word, part of the word etc. Is there another source I need to go to, to find this words meaning?

Thank you in advance for any response and forgive me in advance for my naivete'.
