Yep, it begins with 2:1 (after he says "Chapter 2").

Give yourself about 3 weeks of listening to Zodhiates before giving up. He starts out slowly in a
book, and then increases his speed as he gets further along in the book. MAKE SURE YOU
ARE READING ALONG with the text, at least initially.

The harder things to get used to, after being accustomed to Erasmian:

I, EI, U, OI, H all being pronounced as "ee"
NT being pronounced as "nd" - e.g., PANTA is pronounced like "pahn-da" or "puhn-da"
O and W being pronounced the same
NO ROUGH BREATHING PRONOUNCED

Other things:

AI being pronounced as E
The guttural and "y"-sound given to G
B as "v" and D as "th" (as in "these")

Also, Greek does not generally contract syllables in terms of their length. The accented
syllables are stressed, but this does not result in the unaccented syllables being shortened as
we do in English.

I bought the Zodhiates tapes a few years ago, and then "graduated" to the CDs (available for
half price at the Evangelical Theological Society meeting - which this year (November) will be in
Valley Forge, PA - great book deals!!!). I'm tempted to buy a new iPOD Nano and put them on
it. It's hard to make the switch, but once made, it's hard to go back to Erasmian.
