For the comparative grammar you might want a more modern work: Sihler's A Comparative Grammar of Greek & Latin, but I still like Wright and his work is excellent. There are two volumes in Cignac's papyri grammar. He is retired now, living in Washington, D.C., and hope to complete the third volume soon. It's a very well done, extremely detailed work on the papyri. I don't know of anything else comparable on the papyri, as long as you're wanted something with that detail.
For any B-Greekers who get a hankerin for looking at old Greek grammars, be sure to contact me if you're ever passing through Albuquerque, NM. I have the largest collection in Albuquerque with about 600 Greek grammars.

  Hi all,

I was wondering about several older Greek grammars I've run into in various bibliographies.

These are "The Syntax and Semantics of the Verb in Classical Greek" by Rijksbaron, "A Grammar of the Greek Papyri of the Roman and Byzantine Periods" by Gignac, and "Comparative Grammar of the Greek Ganguage" by Wright.

Any opinions on these? Good? Average? Worth paying high prices for used copies at Amazon or Abe?

Thanks.
