Definitely not EGKRATEUOMAI. There are two options: AGAMOS and XHROS (uncommon masc form of XHRA). I would opt for AGAMOS.

Subject: [B-Greek] 1 Corinthians 7:8-9
What do you think the ellipsis that results from hWS KAGW in the
following quote refers to?
LEGW DE TOIS AGAMOIS KAI TAIS CHRAIS, KALON AUTOIS EAN MEINWSIN hWS
KAGW: EI DE OUK EGKRATEUONTAI . . .
Many modern translations seem to fill the ellipsis with "unmarried," but
this seems unsatisfactory to me (mainly because this is one of the two
classes mentioned at the beginning of the verse). I think the ellipsis
demands a verb. The most likely candidate appears to be the understood
EIMI (an ellipsis in itself), but I am also wondering if the understood
verb could be EGKRATEUOMAI.
What do you think?
Thanks,
Elliot Poe
